Jeff Herrity

Jeff Herrity is an artist based in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Red Dirt Studio located in Mt. Rainer, Maryland. Jeff has been extremely busy this year with a supercharged exhibition trajectory throughout the East Coast (including Hillyer Art Space, SNAP! Space Orlando and Crossroads Art Center Richmond). He's also headed to Puebla, Mexico soon for an artist residency as he prepares for his solo exhibition at the Fridge DC. Keep an eye out for this artist because he is H.O.T. #hot!

Below are some images from our calendar shoot supporting Red Dirt Studio. (*PG 13 because he might break the internet).

What do you love about Washington, D.C.? DC is home to me and I was born right across the river in Arlington. I love that we do not have tall buildings. I love that we can walk many places, especially living on the hill. I love the food in this town. What makes you happy? Rose's Luxury

What are you working on at the moment? I am currently, at this moment, finishing my Alchemical Vessel for the Alchemical Vessel Benefit 2015. I am also in the early stages of planning my next solo show (Transmogrifications - The Fridge - September 12, 2015 - October 10, 2015) I'm also studying about Puebla, Mexico, also in preparation for a six week residency starting in May. What music are you currently listening to in the studio? If I'm listening to music, chances are it's really embarrassing dance music. Or one of the mixes that my partner John Copenhaver makes. I actually watch things while in the studio, and I am currently on Disc 13 of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman - one of the best shows in television history.
