Marc Ross is a Realtor with the Jenn Smira Team of Compass. He's also a native of Washington, D.C. and knows the city inside and out. Affectionately known as "the Mayor of H. Street" with friends and neighbors, he's particularly loved in Northeast and has witnessed great change in the city. This portrait commission was taken outside of Dean & Deluca in Georgetown on a cold winter's day. But, despite the weather, we had great fun.
I'm grateful to call Marc friend and neighbor (and, occasional tennis partner). Don't be fooled by his charming looks and winning smile. He shows no mercy on the courts and has a mean forehand. However, Marc is super fun, an awesome person and fine realtor.
What do you love about D.C.?
The new wave of culture. Gone are the days of D.C. being just hailed as a conservative political town. There is a fresh energy of cultural change and it's exciting to be a part of it.
What do you love about your neighborhood?
The close-knit community. Everyone makes an effort to know their neighbors and it's created this special place called H. Street.
What are you working on right now?
Right his second? :) Preparing a listing to hit the market and helping clients make the best possible offer on a potential new home.
Where might we find you hanging out on H. Street?
Lately not at a restaurant, coffee shop, or gallery opening but rather at a neighbors dinner party, BBQ, etc.
