Feb. 2025 Stacks by E. Brady Robinson
Presented at the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Baltimore, MD
Stacks is a photographic portrait series celebrating Baltimore’s creative community. Shot on location and in-studio, these images spotlight artists, musicians, and architects of culture whose work embodies self-expression, agency, and fierce individuality. The portraits capture both the spirit and style of the city's artists—many of whom are shaping and preserving the cultural identity of Baltimore.
Each image highlights the subject’s unique presence and creative identity, offering a lens into the energy, strength, and vision driving Baltimore’s cultural scene. The work invites viewers to connect with these artists not just as creators, but as vital stewards of culture—members of a creative community deeply rooted in place and purpose.
Presented in the Fine Arts Department, the series aligns with the Library’s role as a space for access, inspiration, and knowledge-sharing. It also draws from Robinson’s own photographic archive and affinity for photo books, underscoring the relationship between photography, publishing, and community memory.
